Earlier this year, I worked with Suede to write, edit and optimise (for search) all of the content for the Bakers’ Corner website by Nestle. This site is designed to be a single resource for bakers of all ages – and includes handy baking tips, recipes and product information.

Zovirax website

In 2011, I worked with Suede to write advertorials, banner ads and website copy for a ‘we live for lips’ campaign for Zovirax Australia. The campaign focused on those special events that cold sores just love to show up at: a first date, interview, wedding or big presentation. The Zovirax range of products are designed to help treat cold sores and prevent them from spreading – and from ruining special occasions. You can view the website here.

Uncle Tobys Swim Kids – website

In August 2010, I edited and wrote all of the content for the Swim Kids website – which is supported by Uncle Tobys and Royal Life Saving. I worked with McCann Sydney and Royal Life Saving to collate and produce all of the launch content for the website, and to ensure it was well optimised for search. The site provides a whole range of vitally important water survival and safety information – including ‘how to’ swim videos, a CPR guide, tips on sun safety, inspirational profiles of Uncle Tobys’ swim ambassadors Eamon Sullivan, Grant Hackett, Emily Seebohm and Cate Campbell and much more. I also produced eDMs and provided social media content (Facebook and Twitter) on an ongoing basis to support the Swim Kids campaign.

Kleenex Mums – website

In August 2010, I wrote the Kleenex Mums website through McCann Sydney. With content areas ranging from ‘Me time’ to ‘Back to School’, this website is designed as an interactive forum where mums (and dads) can share advice, tips and tales of misadventure when it comes to parenting. I wrote all launch content for the site – which you can view here. The site also publishes regular blog contributions from real mums.

SKINS – 2010 product catalogue and website

In late 2009, I was contacted by SKINS’ Digital Marketing Manager in Switzerland, and asked to work with a team of international writers to produce SKINS’ 2010 marketing collateral. I was responsible for writing the 2010 catalogue, as well as for writing several sections of their new website.

SKINS is a true Australian success story. They started in 1996 – and thanks to their revolutionary compression technology, are now one of the world’s most recognised names in sports apparel and are worn by some of the world’s top athletes.

I wrote their 2010 product catalogue, a few pages of which are shown here:

I also wrote various sections of their new website – including all of the ‘She’ product information, ‘Who’s Wearing SKINS?’, ‘About Us’ and ‘Get in Touch’ sections.

Raffaello Little White Truths Campaign

In late 2009, I was asked by The Farm Digital to work on a consumer campaign for Raffaello chocolates. Together with another writer, I produced a Facebook fan page, microsite, series of banner ads, and a promotional video. The Facebook site, in particular, has been enormously successful – with over 3,000 fans. The campaign is based on the notion that when girlfriends get together, they often share amusing and rather telling “little white truths”. In all collateral, we encouraged everyday people to submit their own truths for the chance to win two boxes of Raffaello chocolates to share with their friends. So far, the campaign has attracted a huge amount of submissions- and two winners have been announced every week.

For McCann Erickson’s 50th birthday, I put together this list of 50 fun, crazy and slightly bizzare ways in which I managed to blow $50K – while most of my friends were diligently saving money and climbing the corporate ladder. Dell – ‘Get Sklogged’ – campaign

In August, I was engaged by Suede to write the copy for a ‘Get Sklogged’ classroom competition sponsored by Dell and Intel. As part of this nationwide competition, schools were encouraged to use supplied templates to set up a blog for their classrooms, and then update it as regularly as possible for the chance to win.

The aim of the competition was to encourage school students, teachers and staff to get involved with technology, and prepare students for life in a digitally connected world. All of the entries were evaluated by a panel of judges, and the three most creative entries from around Australia won a prize pack of IT equipment and services from Dell and Intel worth $40,000. I was responsible for writing the website copy, as well as for developing a series of eDMs, posters, letters and flyers encouraging schools to get involved.

Melbourne Central – The Quarter Magazine

It’s designed to profile what’s happening at the centre, latest trends, and exciting new products. Through McCann Sydney, I wrote the spring edition of The Quarter.
